Message: I am Professor of history at Panjab University. Recently, we have conceived a project to write a history of Vishvakarma and the community. I am particularly interested in the Panjab and Phagwara temple, the social history of Dhimans and Ramgarhias along with other Vishva Brahmanas, the rituals at the temple. I would welcome access to the Sabha literature, the court-cases, and other sacred/secular literature of the community in the region. Particularly, i would be grateful to access to temple, its ritual and if I am allowed to do extensive photography.
i shall be grateful to all who can share time and thoughts with me. Any material shared, access provided would enable us to reach at better understanding and shaping this project in a satisfactory manner.
